Welcome to the official website of the Aboriginal Embassy.

The Aboriginal Embassy in Canberra is run by a working group committee. This website has been created directly on-behalf of the commitee and is maintained with the oversight of the committee. 

Important information for visitors to the physical site (Canberra, opposite Old Parliament House)

The Aboriginal Embassy is an important cultural, political and spiritual site to the Sovereign First Nations people. 

Respect the signage and boundary markers at all times.

The site may be closed due to cultural or safety reasons. Do not cross the boundary markers or you will be asked to leave or further action will be taken.

The site is manned by permanant caretakers. Do not take photos of people on-site, in the same way you do not take photos of people in their own homes. 

Toilets on-site are not open to the public. Public toilets are located 120m away in the Senate Tennis Courts to the south west of the site and also in the House of Representative Garden to the south east.
